Gateway
Pacific Contractors, Inc. was founded on a cornerstone philosophy of satisfying
our clients’ needs by creating a safe workplace, exceptional quality,
commitment to schedule and a fair price. Gateway
Pacific is a true general contractor. We
self-perform the vast majority of our own projects with our own craftspeople
and supervisors. On a typical
project this might include the earthwork, structural concrete and complete
mechanical among other specialties. This self-performing approach allows us
better overall control of our projects, keeps us competitive and offers the
broadest base of opportunity for our staff.
Established
in 1987, Gateway Pacific specializes in the construction of water and wastewater
projects in the western United States. Gateway’s project bids range
from $1 million to $20 million, and our annual revenues exceeded $27 million
in 1998. Gateway’s staff size
ranges from 40 to 80, including 16 salaried employees.
Co-founder and President
Evan Lundin
has been involved in the construction of more than 30 concrete potable water
reservoirs in the last 16 years. This
includes the largest pre-stressed concrete reservoir ever built in the United States
at the time – the 33 million gallon tank for the Vallecitos Water District in
San Marcos,
California
in 1999 (pictured on our home page).
Gateway
Pacific possesses a State of
California Contractors License
(#517988), Class A & B, and has been pre-qualified or invited to bid for
the Irvine Ranch Water District, San Dieguito Water District, Moulten Niguel
Water District, Vallecitos Water District and Department of Water Resources.
Experienced
Professionals/Streamlined Operations/Team Approach
From
the earliest stages, projects receive the benefit of the Gateway Pacific team
approach. Gateway Pacific is committed to providing direct access to our staff
without unnecessary layers of bureaucracy. This team approach means that on-site
experienced professional management can work directly with clients to bring
about the best solution to a problem without needless delays or prevent one from
happening. Direct access to decisive
management personnel and prompt action has been a cornerstone of Gateway
Pacific’s operations and is key to its continued success.
Gateway’s
clients become an integral part of the process.
Gateway works closely with each of our clients to develop the highest
quality, most cost-effective solution to a project, from the construction of a
small reservoir to a complex wastewater treatment plant. This integrated
approach has served us well in the past. Gateway believes it will be even
more important in the new millennium.
Financial

success has been achieved in large part due to our attention to financial
basics. We have skillfully invested in our own future by concentrating on
